Skyler Ceana Lyford

ROCKINGHAM — Skyler Ceana Lyford, 18, of Rockingham and Raeford, passed away Monday, March 21, 2022 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Skyler was born Dec. 22, 2003 in Lawton, Oklahoma, a daughter of Jonathan Michael Lyford and Tammy Sims Lyford.

She graduated from Sandhills Community College’s Early College program, had worked with Papa John’s and currently in sales with PINK.

She was preceded in death by a brother, David Michael Lyford; and grandmothers, Cindy Maples and Joyce Sellars.

Surviving are her parents, Jonathan Michael Lyford and Tammy Sims Lyford; grandparents, David Sims, Marie Lyford, Stacey Kelly and Dean Maples; siblings, Devon Lyford (Leslie Stapleton), Mariah Worester, Kaleb Martindale and Allayne Vandevender; and several nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 26 in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham with Pastor Steve Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 6–8 p.m. Friday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the Sims residence, 304 Billy Covington Road, Rockingham.
