Terry Atlas Beck, 56, passed away from this earth Jan. 1, 2020.
Terry was born June 8, 1963 in Rockingham, the son of Lacy Beck Jr. and Hattie Beck.
He graduated from Richmond Sr. High in June 1982. Terry was a heavy equipment operator; he enjoyed being outdoors, whether, fishing or spending time in the sand and surf of Myrtle Beach. He was an adventurous, carefree, person who lived life to the fullest; never meeting a stranger and always with a joke to tell, as he enjoyed making people smile. His family will always cherish good memories of him.
Terry was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Beck.
Terry was survived by his mother, Hattie Beck (who passed away Oct. 13, 2020), and is currently survived by his father, Lacy Beck of Hamlet; daughter, Amy Helms (Kevin)of Rockingham; grandchildren, Jacob, Julia, Isaac and Kenzie Helms; sisters, Nancy Smith (Mike) of Rockingham and Jennifer Jackson (Stephen) of Hamlet; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Marks Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Terry will be buried with his mother, Hattie, who passed away Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020.
