ROCKINGHAM — Virginia “Sis” Jenkins Fuller, 74, of Rockingham, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021 at Richmond Co. Hospice Haven.
She was born Aug. 20, 1947 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Raymond and Hester Hamm Jenkins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burton Chester Fuller; brothers, Louis Jenkins, David Jenkins, George Jenkins and Charlie Jenkins.
Sis graduated from Hoffman High School and worked as waitress at the Orange Bowl and was a caregiver for many years.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021 at 3 p.m. at Hopewell Independent Baptist Church with her son-in-law, Pastor Michael Carpenter, and Preacher Chuck McKnight officiating.
Surviving, her children, Angela Carpenter and husband Pastor Michael, Burton Chester “Chet” Fuller Jr. and wife Olha, and Alan Fuller and wife Michelle; grandchildren, Katie Eudy, Wil Fuller, Quston Fuller, Luke Carpenter, Aaron Carpenter, Chester Fuller, Yeva Fuller; great-grandchildren, Ethan Feutral, Michael Ray and Ella Mae Eudy; a sister, Mary Jo Beck; a brother, Andy Jenkins; and her dear friend Louise Byrd.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
