ROCKINGHAM — Wanda Terry Gibson, 62, of Rockingham, completed her earthly journey on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.
Mrs. Gibson was born Dec. 23, 1959 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Winfield Scott and Esther Mae Hall Terry.
She was a member of Cartledge Creek Baptist Church and loved animals. She had worked with Fruit of the Loom for many years and retired from Food King.
Surviving are her husband of 39 years, Michael W. Gibson; daughter, Stephanie Gibson Ford (Charles); grandson, Owen Ford; sisters, Nancy Terry Mead (Dave) and Carla Terry King (Lynn); special sisters, Debbie Gibson, Faye Godwin and Pam Gibson; several nieces and nephews; and her eight beloved fur babies.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Eastside Cemetery with the Rev. Jason Lutz officiating.
The family will see friends from 1:30–2:30 p.m. Sunday at Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham and at other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ASPCA.
