ROCKINGHAM — William G. Hamilton, 67, of Rockingham, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020.
William was born on Aug. 21, 1952 in Richmond County, the son of Benny Robert and Latha Rainwater Hamilton. He was a retired mechanic.
Surviving are his wife, Marie Granger Hamilton; a son, Benjamin Lee Hamilton of Indiana; stepdaughter Rebecca Lynn Canipe; stepson Victor Timothy Canipe; a sister, Della Hamilton Hewitt of Rockingham; a brother, Jerry Lee Hamilton; and grandchildren Zachary Dean Russell and Jenna Nicole Russell of Rockingham, Dylan, Cody, Kaleb and Kaitlyn of Indiana.
A memorial service will be held at noon Monday, Feb. 10 at Abundant Life Church with the Rev. Joe Wilkes Jr. officiating.
The family will greet friends and relatives from 11 a.m. to noon prior to the service.
