2 IN A ROW: Heim earns back-to-back wins with victory in Black's Tire 200 at the Rock

ROCKINGHAM — Corey Heim held off Kaden Honeycutt in the last few laps to take the win Friday at Rockingham Speedway in the 2026 Black’s Tire 200.

The 2025 Craftsman Truck Series Champion earned his second consecutive checkered flag in the Carolinas this season following his win at Darlington Motor Speedway on March 20.

During practice, Heim had the second-highest speed — behind Honeycutt.

Jake Garcia took the pole in qualifying, with Tanner Gray, Honeycutt, Cole Butcher and Layne Riggs rounding out the top five at the start. Heim started in seventh.

Gray jumped out to an early lead, staying ahead of the pack for 17 laps, but Heim held on for 178 laps. Honeycutt led one lap and Grant Enfinger was out front for four.

Last year’s winner, Tyler Ankrum, finished in seventh and Garcia dropped back to 10th.

Heim is the fourth driver in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series to win at the Rock. Kasey Kahne — who competed in the 2025 Education Lottery 250 — won the first race in 2012, and Kyle Larson finished first in 2013.

The racing action continues Saturday with the Rockingham ARCA Menards East 125 at 11:30 a.m., followed by the N.C. Education Lottery 250 O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race at 2:30 p.m.

The RO will have continuing coverage of the race weekend on our website and Facebook page.
