Florida sex offender charged with not registering change to online identifier in Richmond County

ROCKINGHAM — A convicted sex offender from the Sunshine State is facing charges in Richmond County.

Records show that 45-year-old Judah Urias Drummond is charged with failing to inform the registering sheriff of any new or changes to existing online identifiers that he uses or intends to use.

The N.C. Sex Offender Registry shows that Drummond was convicted in 1999 of fondling a child in Florida the previous year. Drummond was 21 at the time, however no age is given for the victim.

He was released from prison in 2005, records show.

Drummond, who has an alias listed as “John Gribbins,” registered as a sex offender in North Carolina on March 29, 2021.

Records show Drummond has a violation for failing to notify of an address change.

He is currently being held on a $25,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court July 7.
