HAMLET — Attendees of every age filled the Cole Auditorium on Tuesday, March 19 for Columbia City Ballet’s performance of “Snow White.”
Little girls arrived dressed appropriately for the show, dressed as the fairy tale’s titular character.
The show began with beautiful ballet dancing, and it continued with a Snow White story. This story was a little different than the traditional one, as there were no dwarves to accommodate Snow White but instead seven knights which made it truly interesting. The show consisted of two Acts with 11 scenes total; each one had its own uniqueness.
The show was conceived by William Starrett who also headed the choreography, as well as teaming with Abby McDowell in costume designs. The music was composed by Edvard Grieg, and the lighting and scenic concepts were by Ryan Stender.
Attendees gave the show a standing ovation, as at last, the Prince and Snow White lived happily ever after.
