ROCKINGHAM — The North Tower Band made the trip down U.S. 1 from Raleigh on Thursday to rock out in Cole Plaza.

The band was originally scheduled to perform for the August date of the Plaza Jam summer concert series, but the show was postponed because of weather.

The set list included a variety of rock, beach and R&B hits, ranging from Tommy Tutone’s “867-5309/Jenny” to the Catalinas’ “Summertime’s Calling Me” to the Four Tops’ “Ain’t No Woman (Like the One I’ve Got).”

The 2023 season kicked off in May with Gary Lowder and Smokin’ Hot, followed by Chocolate Chip and Company in June, the Entertainers in July and the Tams last week.
