EAST ROCKINGHAM – Emergency responders were dispatched Monday afternoon at 1:05 p.m. to the scene of an accident on Mill Road in East Rockingham.
There were two vehicles involved in the reported accident. According to those at the scene, a black SUV was entering the highway from a side street and struck a blue pickup truck.
One patient was treated at the scene, but needed no further medical attention.

East Rockingham Fire Department, along with Rockingham Rescue, FirstHealth Richmond EMS and the North Carolina Highway Patrol were all on the scene.
The accident is being investigated by the Highway Patrol.
