Hamlet, Rockingham police seek identities of 4 women in 2 cases

Investigators in Hamlet say the women on the left are suspected of trying to pass counterfeit bills at Dollar General Monday. The women on the right allegedly used a stolen credit card.

Police in two Richmond County cities are again asking for the public’s help in identifying women suspected of committing crimes at local retail stores.

The Hamlet Police Department posted to its Facebook page Tuesday a photo of two women.

Investigators say one of them is suspected of attempting to pass counterfeit currency at Dollar General around 7:30 p.m. Monday.

The photo is not very clear, but investigators say they were driving a black car, the front end of which can be seen in another photo.
