TOP STORY: Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Issues Arrests in Several Drug-Related Incidents

ROCKINGHAM – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Department filed charges against a female who was allegedly in possession of controlled substances while visiting an inmate at the jail.

Woman Charged with Bringing Drugs Into Richmond County Jail

Andrea Kendall Leviner, 18, of Granny Rummage Road in Ellerbe, was found in possession of controlled substances on jail premises on December 11 and was charged accordingly (possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule VI controlled substance). 

Leviner was also charged with simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (marijuana and prescription pills), as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.

Leviner was arrested and placed in the Richmond County Jail under a $20,000 secured bond.

 

Sheriff’s Office Cleans Streets of Four Men Charged with Variety of Drug-Related Crimes

The Sheriff’s Office arrested four individuals after an ongoing investigation into complaints of drug activity on Hawkins Lane in Rockingham.  During the execution of search warrants on December 12, the following men were arrested and placed in the Richmond County Jail:

Walter Lee Ellerbe, III,

Ellerbe, 25, of Hawkins Lane, Rockingham, was arrested and charged with:  selling a Schedule II controlled substance (three counts); delivery of a Schedule II controlled substance (three counts); possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance (four counts); maintaining a dwelling for the sell and delivery of a controlled substance (three counts); felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance; and resisting a public officer.  Ellerbe is being held in the Richmond County Jail under a $75,000 secured bond.

Marvin Gay Lindsey

Lindsey, 46, also of Hawkins Lane, Rockingham, was arrested and charged with:  selling of a Schedule II controlled substance (two counts); delivery of a Schedule II controlled substance (two counts); possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance (two counts); maintaining a dwelling for the selling and delivery of a controlled substance; selling of a Schedule I controlled substance (two counts); delivery of a Schedule I controlled substance (two counts); possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule I controlled substance (two counts); and failure to pay child support (two counts).  Lindsey is being held in the Richmond County Jail under a $75,000 secured bond, as well as a $2,312.91 cash bond.

Kenny McBride, Jr.

McBride, 43, of Hawkins Lane, Rockingham, was arrested and charged with: selling of a Schedule II controlled substance; delivery of a Schedule II controlled substance; and possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance.  McBride is being held in the Richmond County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.

Saudners, 49, of Hawkins Lane, Rockingham, was arrested and charged with: selling of Schedule I & Schedule II controlled substances (two counts); delivery of Schedule I and Schedule II controlled substances (two counts); possession with intent to sell and deliver Schedule I and Schedule II controlled substances (two counts); trafficking in opium; and maintaining a dwelling for the selling and delivery of controlled substances (two counts).  Saunders is being held in the Richmond County Jail under a $200,000 secured bond.
