CORDOVA – The driver was not seriously injured Monday morning around 7:24 a.m. when his vehicle collided with a tree on Zion Church Road in Cordova.
He stated to the trooper that another vehicle was entering the highway as he was rounding a curve and he over-corrected, subsequently losing control of his vehicle.
The driver was treated at the scene by EMS personnel and was not transported to the hospital.
Damage to the driver’s green dodge pickup was substantial; the vehicle was considered to be totaled.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
Responding: Cordova Fire and Rescue, First Health Richmond EMS and North Carolina Highway Patrol.
