ROCKINGHAM — Closing out the volleyball series of Courtside Chats is senior Shelly Hoffman.

A two-year varsity player, Hoffman will move into the starting role as Richmond Senior High School’s setter this fall. She will replace former setter Carley Lambeth, who held the post the past two seasons.

Happy to be back in the gym with her teammates for voluntary workouts, Hoffman is also celebrating returning to physical activity after tearing her ACL during the basketball pre-season last year.

Hoffman updates fans on her progress and how she’s ready to contribute as the team’s new setter, a role she played on junior varsity for two years. She also highlights this year’s group of seven seniors, explains what’s special about them and how important it is to have a final season.
