“SHOOTING THE THREES” WITH JAMARION WALL
The Raiders picked up wins over Scotland and Southern Lee high schools last week, and Wall put on a clinic during the team’s 84-51 victory over the Fighting Scots Tuesday.
Shooting 14-of-25, Wall netted a single-game career-high 39 points. His previous best outing was 26 points against Lebanon High School in Dec. 2022.
Wall was 11-of-20 from beyond the three-point line, setting Richmond’s new record for the most triples in a single game. Jullien Cole (2022-23) and Paul McNeil Jr. (2023-24) each had 10 three-pointers as the previous record.
Wall dominated the fourth quarter, draining six triples in the final eight minutes and scored 20 of Richmond’s 22 points. Also in the win over Scotland, Wall recorded seven rebounds, four steals and two assists.
Three nights later, Wall scored 14 points as part of a 77-67 win over the Cavaliers. He made 6-of-14 shots from the field with six assists, two steals and one rebound.
Playing in 13 games for Richmond this winter, Wall is third on the team with 13.3 points per game. He’s also averaging 3.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.7 steals per four quarters.
The Raiders (4-5, 7-0 SAC) travel to Pinecrest High School (8-7, 2-4 SAC) Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
