HAMLET — Carl Steen, 74, of 644 Ghio Road, Hamlet, passed away, Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019, at his residence.
He was born in Richmond County, Dec. 25, 1944, son of Willard Steen and Neita Steen Steen.
He was previously employed at Industrial Sheet Metal.
Carl loved his nieces and nephews and was like their second Daddy. He was hardworking and loved being in the fields on his tractor.
Visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 6 at Harrington Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m.
The funeral will be at Harrington Funeral Home, Monday, Oct. 7 at 2 p.m. with burial to follow at Steen Cemetery, Bennettsville, South Carolina.
Survivors include his brothers, Harl Steen, his twin, of the home, Bobby Steen and Gary Steen both of Hamlet, and Jeff Steen of Wallace, South Carolina; sisters, Juanita Quick and Alice Murchison, both of Hamlet, and Virginia Miller of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
