Memorial Services for David Malcom Baucom, 86, who passed away on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020.
The services will be held at 195 Baucoms Corner, located off Sandhills Game Management Road, Rockingham, the place where he enjoyed farm life. Military honors will be accorded by the Richmond County AMVETS Post 316 and Masonic Rites will be accorded by the Rockingham Masonic Lodge.Â
Mr. Baucom was a veteran of the United States Army where he was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a proud 50-year member of the Rockingham Masonic Lodge and former owner/operator of Dave Baucom & Company Sales & Service based in Rockingham which he ran for a number of years, servicing equipment for merchants throughout several counties.Â
Survivors include his son, David M. Baucom II, and daughter, Kristina Baucom, both of Rockingham; three grandchildren, Cameron Baucom, Miranda Baucom and Lauren Waters; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sylvia Ann Hanger of Tampa, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Rudolph Page Baucom and Mae Murray James Baucom; a daughter, Shawn Baucom; and two brothers, Kenneth and Donald Baucom.
