Annie O. Cummings-Locklear left to be with the Lord on Monday, April 15, 2024 surrounded by loved ones in her home.
Annie was born on Aug. 22, 1943 in Robeson County to the late John and Rebecca Locklear Owens.
She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Lewis Locklear.
Annie was a Godly woman who loved the Lord and always told others about the love of Jesus. She was a strong, dependable, and hard-working woman, and retired from Unique Stone. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. Annie was a member of Southside Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rebecca Owens; husband, Lewis Locklear; granddaughter, Adrianna Brown; grandsons, Jaden and Jordan Davis; great-grandchildren, Caleb Bundy and Emma Grace Benson; sister, Pearl Goodwin; and brothers, Joe Locklear, John Owens and Willie Ray Owens.
Annie is survived by her children, Nicole Cummings (Thomas), Charles Junior Cummings (Tina) and Tracey Owens Jones (Joe); grandchildren, Misty Benson, Lori Cooke, Brandy Oxendine, Dakota Cummings, Brandon Oxendine, Christian Davis, Zoey Davis, Layla Brown, Gavin Brown and Josh Owens; great-grandchildren, Dixie, Jaxon, Colton, Bella, Carlee, Daxton, Levy, Ranger, Ryder and Carter; sisters, Mary Seago, Joyce Sewell (Ray), Dorothy Griffin, Annie Owens and Rosie Owens (Kenny); brothers, Lonnie Owens, Walter Owens, Charlie Owens and Ricky Owens (Vicky); and cousin/best friend of many years, Helen Gray Locklear.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 2-3 p.m. at Southside Freewill Baptist Church.
The funeral service will immediately follow visitation, beginning at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Stephen Ashby officiating. Burial will follow at Northam Cemetery.
