Jean Smith Davidson, 83, of Rockingham, passed away peacefully Aug. 25 2023 at her home following a long illness.
She was born Sept. 27, 1939 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late James Leon and Ersel Carriker Smith.
Jean was a member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church and retired from Richmond Federal Savings and Loan after 46 years.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Smith.
A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Beverly Hills Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 12:30-1:45 p.m. prior to the service in the Family Life Center.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Phil Davidson of Rockingham; children, Beth Crouch (Brad) and Jeffrey Davidson (Kelli), all of Pinehurst; grandchildren, Katie Stafford (Bryan), Bennett Crouch, Logan Davidson and Haleigh Davidson, all of Pinehurst; and sisters, Debbie Berry (Clay) of Newberry, South Carolina and Martha Dabbs of Rockingham.
