Katie Webb Tyson, 76, of Ellerbe, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 surrounded by her family.
Katie was born Aug. 18, 1947 to the late William “Bill” and Geneva Greene Webb. She was loved by many that knew her. She was a homemaker in the later days of her life. She brought joy, laughter and smiles to those that were around her. One of the most fond moments that her friends have of her were the times that they would all sit around and play two card games titled Rook and Setback. Katie loved her church family as well as all of her many friends.
She is also preceded in death by her brother, William Roger Webb; and sister, Barbara Webb Blake.
She leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Mark Tyson of the home; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Carter Funeral Home Ellerbe Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Luck and the Rev. Stan Layton officiating. Interment will follow the service at Chappell Cemetery in Ellerbe.
Family will receive friends and family from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
