Kelly Wayne Clayton, 45, of Rockingham, passed away suddenly Feb. 22, 2024.
Kelly is the son of Vickie Clayton and the late Bill Clayton. He was born Feb. 11, 1979, in Richmond County.
Kelly worked various jobs in construction for most of his working life. Kelly was a friendly person that was willing to help anyone in need, and he never met a stranger. He loved various sports but adored the Tar Heels and the Redskins the most. He was a loving father, supportive son and a dependable friend, who will be dearly missed.
Kelly is survived by his mother, Vickie; children, Kimberly Glidewell (Keagan), Ethan Clayton, Grayson Clayton, Kelly Clayton Jr., Annabella Clayton, Carter Clayton, and Jackson Clayton; grandchildren, Talen Glidewell and Blaire Glidewell; siblings, Robert James Clayton and Victoria Walten.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 12 at Watson-King Funeral Home with Elizabeth Gally officiating. Family will receive friends for visitation an hour prior to the service.
