Samuel Russell Smith Sr., 54, of Rockingham, passed away Monday, Feb. 12, 2024 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
He was born Sept. 22, 1969, in Richmond County, son of the late Everett Russell Smith and Brenda Gail Hewitt Smith.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Presti Henry Smith of the home; sons, Aaron Preston Henry (Rebecca) and Samuel Russell Smith Jr., both of Rockingham; daughter, Brianna Smith of Rockingham; brother, Shannon Eugene Smith of Charlotte; sisters, Lisa Smith Graham (Jeffery) of Rockingham and Sheila Smith Bostic (Lamont) of Laurinburg; and grandchildren, Cody Lee Wright, Dyland Joshua Black, Elijah Summersett, Isaiah Summersett and John Williams.
A gathering will be held on Monday, Feb. 19, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Southridge Freewill Baptist Church, Clemmer Road, Rockingham, with Pastor Ronnie Wayne Chavis officiating.
