ROCKINGHAM — The top 10 finishers list in the Black’s Tire 200 has shifted following the disqualification of Chandler Smith.
Smith, who initially finished fourth, was disqualified after his truck “failed to meet post-race rear body inspection height requirements,” according to NASCAR.com.
The DQ moves Smith to finishing dead last, and moves the following drivers up: Stewart Friesen (4); Grant Enfinger (5); Tyler Ankrum (6); Corey LaJoie (7); Ty Majeski (8); Jake Garcia (9); Cole Butcher (10).
Corey Heim, 2025 Craftsman Truck Series Champion, took the checkered flag in Friday’s race at Rockingham Speedway after leading 178 laps. Heim was followed closely by Kaden Honeycutt, with Layne Riggs finishing third.
Cup Series driver Carson Hocevar, piloting the No. 77 for Spire Motorsports, only completed 116 laps. Adam Andretti, brother of John Andretti and nephew of Mario Andretti, was out of the race after 58 laps.
Last year, Jesse Love initially won the N.C. Education Lottery 250 at Rockingham, but was disqualified following a post race inspection. The win then went to Sammy Smith, who — with Chandler Smith’s DQ — finished Friday’s truck race at 11th.
Love qualified second behind Corey Day ahead of Saturday’s race in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. Sammy Smith qualified 19th.
YouTuber Cleetus McFarland, racing as Cleetus Mitchell, qualified 35th — ahead of Joey Gase, Blake Lothian and Garrett Smithley.
McFarland, whose real name is Garrett Mitchell, will be making his debut in the O’Reilly Series — after competing the ARCA Menards Series East race earlier in the day.
