Vernon lived more of a life in one lifetime than most people could dare to live in several. He was many people to many people. He will be remembered for his fire and the stubborn sense of will that he instilled in each of his children. He was a fighter, a character, and a sight to behold. He was, and always will be, loved beyond measure.

Vernon did not wish to have a funeral service. Immediate family gathered at Hawleyton Cemetery on Saddlemire Road in Binghamton to commit his ashes to the ground alongside his maternal family on Sunday, March 15.

In lieu of flowers, his daughters ask that you take a moment of your time to express love to your family, in whatever way you feel appropriate, in Vernon’s honor.
