2018 AANC Rookie Champion – Keith Whitley

ROCKINGHAM – The Auctioneer Association of North Carolina “AANC” conducted its summer conference and Rookie Auctioneering Competition in Cary North Carolina on June 15th and 16th.  

The AANC would like to extend congratulations to the new 2018 AANC Rookie Auctioneer Champion Keith Whitley. 

The Competition is broken into two categories.

The first category is labeled as “The Chant / Effective Auctioneering” and consists of voice control, clarity, speed, rhythm, timing, article description, eye contact, body language, salesmanship and holding the audience’s attention. 

Additionally, the second portion of the competition consists of an interview and series of questions related to the auction industry and is scored based upon presentation, response, substance and ambassador quality.  

As the 2018 AANC Rookie Champion, Keith Whitley will additionally serve as an ambassador for the association who will be available to meet and support future and beginning auctioneers throughout the state.

Keith is an Auctioneer and Real Estate Broker. He and his wife Jennifer have five children, Brooke, Landon, Nathan, Elizabeth and Kola.
