Cole Foundation announces 2020 Scholarship winners

HAMLET — The Cole Foundation announced the 2020 Scholarship recipients Tuesday from Richmond Early College High School and Richmond Senior High School. 

The scholarship is open to seniors who reside in Richmond County and plan to attend an accredited four-year postsecondary institution. Students will receive $4,000 per year. 

Winners from Richmond Early College High School include Lorenzo Vega Vazquez, Stephanie Holder, Selena Tran, Briauna Wall, Kayla Luther, Olivia Patrick, Adreanna Staton, Frank Atilano, Bridgett Mejia Reyes, Jordyn Mabe, Victor Thomas and Harley Linton.

Winners from Richmond Senior High School include Annie Bartlett, Derek Allred, Jardai Tillman, and Giselle Ojeda. 

Austin Hadinger, son of Richmond Senior High School Athletic Trainer Mitch Hadinger, is the recipient from Hadinger Academy. 

Caroline Freeman, a senior at Richmond Senior, is the recipient of the Sally Cole Scholarship. This scholarship provides merit-based undergraduate college scholarships to Richmond County students with demonstrated talent and career interests in the visual arts. She will receive $7,500 per year.
