Vehicles Collide on Mill Road

EAST ROCKINGHAM – Emergency Communications received a call around 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday night.

When responders arrived on the scene they discovered that two vehicles had collided at the intersection of Mill Road and Church Street in East Rockingham.

Involved in the accident was a blue Toyota sedan and a gray Toyota sedan.

Witnesses on the scene stated that the gray vehicle pulled out of Church Street, was hit by the blue sedan, and was pushed into a power pole before stopping in Mill Road.

The driver in the blue vehicle was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Another passenger was treated at the scene but did not need to be transported.

The driver of the gray vehicle had no injuries.

Units responding : East Rockingham Fire Department; First Health Richmond EMS;  Rockingham Rescue; and the North Carolina Highway Patrol.

The accident is being investigated by the Highway Patrol.
