RALEIGH — Chunk plays worked against the Richmond Senior High School football team Friday.
Playing their third of four non-conference games, the Raiders suffered a 31-13 defeat at Cardinal Gibbons High School.
Allowing passing touchdowns of 39, 25 and 39 yards, Richmond’s defense couldn’t slow down an aggressive Crusaders passing game.
Cardinal Gibbons also scored on a two-yard rushing touchdown and a short field goal.
Richmond’s two touchdowns were courtesy of senior wide receiver Keyonta Davis (10 yards) and junior Keonta Pegues (64 yards).
Junior quarterbacks Domonic Tillman and Evan Hodges each threw one score, syncing up with Davis and Pegues, respectively. Richmond had a touchdown in each half.
