ROCKINGHAM — Mrs. Dorothy Helen Bradley, 77, wife of Philip Royce Bradley III, of Rockingham, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital-Richmond.

She was born Dec. 26, 1944 in Richmond County, daughter of the late Bernie L. White and Dorothy Thompson White.

Mrs. Bradley worked for 15 years with J.C. Penney, prior to her declining health. She was a member of 3 Rock Church in Rockingham. Helping and doing for others was an attribute she genuinely possessed. She especially enjoyed catering for others with church functions. She loved cooking, sewing, and spoiling her grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Barbara Wendell, Bernie O. White, Gerry O. White, Charlie White and Marlene Hatfield.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 35 years, Philip Royce Bradley III, of the home; son, Kenneth L. Ives Jr., of Davenport, Florida; daughter, Kelly-Lynn Ives Sipples and husband, Michael, of Middletown, Connecticut; sisters, Linda White, of Rockingham and Becky Robinson, of Ohio; grandchildren, Donald Sholes III and wife, Brittany, of Lebanon, Connecticut, Zachary Sholes and wife, Vanessa, and Dylan Sholes, all of Scotland, Connecticut; and great-granddaughter, Hazel Sholes.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022 at 2 p.m. at 3 Rock Church, Highway 74, Rockingham, with the Rev. Joel Perry officiating.
