Lenore Grace Jenkins Hale

CHARLOTTE — Lenore Grace Jenkins Hale, 95, formerly of Rockingham, passed away Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021 at Wickshire at Steele Creek in Charlotte.

Mrs. Hale was born Sept. 4, 1926 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late John Calvin and Nora Alice Thomas Jenkins.

She was a lifelong member of Cameronian Presbyterian Church where she was active in the Women of the Church and the senior citizens group. She had retired from Gilead Manufacturing Company.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Terrance Odell “Ted” Hale; and siblings, Wilma Frye, John C. Jenkins Jr, Roland Jenkins, Geneva Kelly, Maxine McCuiston, Ruth Braddock and infant Margie Lou Jenkins.

Surviving are her children, Terrance Odell “Buddy” Hale Jr. (Theda), Colon Franklin “Frank” Hale (Vickie), Holly Spainhour (Kevin) and Bonnie Phillips; grandchildren, Wesley Hale, Grayson Hale, Dylan Hale (Meghan), Ian Hale, Connor Hale, James Spainhour, Ronald Phillips, Amanda Knies (Adam); and great-grandchildren, River Phillips, Ryan Knies and Charlotte Knies.

The family will hold a private graveside service at Northam Cemetery in Rockingham.
