Mary Alice Williams Russell, 79, of Rockingham, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Pruitt Health of Rockingham.
Mary was born Feb. 10, 1945, a daughter of the late Frank Lee and Helen Dunn Williams. She attended Beaver Dam Methodist Church when she could go before sickness struck her body. She worked in the medical field for most of her life as a CNA where she enjoyed helping families with the needs of their loved one.
She was preceded in death by a child, Mark Thomas Guinn; grandchild, Zackery Wayne Thornton; and siblings, Ted Edward Williams, Florence Ann Taylor and Carolyn Sue Watts.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Elwood Russell; children, Dennis Guinn and Jennifer Russell Grooms (Kevin); grandchildren, Dakota Allen Guinn, Journey Grace Guinn and Taylor Alexander Thornton; and siblings Wade Williams, Frankie Williams and Darlene Lisk.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Monday March 18, 2024 at Beaver Dam Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
