ROCKINGHAM — Edith Grey Benoist Henry went home to be with her Lord on Friday, Aug. 7, 2020 at Hospice Haven.
She was born on Aug. 2, 1936 in Richmond County, a daughter of the late Homer Davis Benoist and Frances Currie Benoist.
She attended West Rockingham United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Henry Jr.; and a sister, Carolyn B. Jenkins.
Surviving Mrs. Henry are her children, Stephen Henry III (Terry) of Hamlet and Myra H. Sanford of Rockingham; grandchildren, Anna S. Betts (Josh), Cory W. Sanford (Rosie); great-granddaughter, Sawyer L. Betts; and sisters, Jean B. Anderson (Reece) and Kay B. Cook (Bert).
The family will have a private memorial service due to the COVID-19 regulations and at other times the family will gather at the home of her son in Hamlet.
