Pasty Allen Wix, 73, of Hamlet, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023 surrounded by her family at Richmond Co. Hospice Haven.
She was born Dec. 11, 1949 in Anson County, a daughter of the late James and Lois Moore Allen.
Patsy graduated from the Hamlet Hospital School of Nursing in 1971 and worked 43 years as a registered nurse at Richmond Memorial Hospital. She attended First Baptist Church in Hamlet. Patsy loved her precious grandchildren more than anything in this world and was their biggest fan, always. Patsy spent a lifetime making the world a better place. Her warm, gentle smile and loving demeanor were cherished by all who knew her and she will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Wix; and grandchildren, Kendall Pace and Ethan Grant.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 7, 2023 at noon at First Baptist Church in Hamlet with Dr. Allison Farrah officiating. Burial will follow at Wightman Church Cemetery in Polkton.
Surviving are daughters Penny Wix Grant (Matt) of Hamlet, Leslie Wix Hall (Chuck) of Ellerbe, Connie Wix Campbell of Rockingham and Robin Wix McRae (Jeff) of Rockingham; a sister, Barbara Lee of Marshville; a brother, Steve Allen of Polkton; grandchildren, Chloe Wiggins, Blake Hall, Graylen Hall, Cody Pace (Courtney), Brandon Wallace (Sarah); and great-grandchildren, Brandon Wallace Jr., Blayton Wallace, Bentley Wallace, Annalynn Pace and Sean Grant.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 7, 2023 from 10:30 a.m.-noon prior the service at the church.
