PHOTOS: Lady Raiders close preseason with Green and Gold game

ROCKINGHAM — The Richmond Senior High School varsity girls’ basketball team wrapped up its preseason play on Thursday.

Playing in a “Green and Gold” game, the Lady Raiders held an intersquad scrimmage for fans in Raider Gymnasium.

The Gold team (white jerseys) won the friendly contest 42-27 over the Green team (grey jerseys).

Making up the winning squad were freshmen Rena Drake and Jamyia Lindsey, juniors C’Nedra Hinson and Nyla Stroman and senior Miccah Wall.

On the Green Team, it was sophomores C’Niya Hinson, Ryelan Lyerly and Keyoni Nichols, junior Joy Styles and seniors Jamiya Ratliff and Mariah Waddell.

The Richmond Observer will publish its full season preview over the weekend for the upcoming girls’ basketball season.
